What additional costs can I expect?

We strive to provide accurate pricing estimates for every product and service included in your project. However, unforeseen costs may occasionally arise due to freight increases, sales tax adjustments, manufacturer price changes, complex installations, returns, or additional labor required during the project. If unexpected expenses occur, we will communicate them promptly before proceeding whenever possible.

Do you work with contractors?

Absolutely. We regularly collaborate with contractors, builders, architects, and other home professionals as part of the design process. We also maintain strong relationships with trusted local trades and are happy to recommend qualified professionals who consistently deliver exceptional workmanship and service.

How long will my project take?

Project timelines vary depending on the scope of work, product availability, and installation requirements. While we carefully plan each project, timelines may occasionally be affected by shipping delays, manufacturer backorders, weather, vendor schedules, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. We will keep you informed throughout every phase of the project.

Can I change my mind after an order is placed?

Because many furnishings and custom-made items are produced specifically for your project, most orders cannot be canceled, exchanged, or returned once they have been placed. Any cancellation or exchange requests will be reviewed according to the individual vendor's policies and handled on a case-by-case basis.

When are payments due?

Invoices for product purchases are due within five (5) business days of receipt to ensure timely ordering and to avoid pricing or availability changes. Invoices for design services and reimbursable expenses are issued monthly and are due upon receipt unless otherwise noted. Balances outstanding for more than 10 days are subject to a 10% late fee, and project work may be paused until the account is brought current. Please note that delays in submitting your initial deposit may result in the loss of your reserved place on our project schedule.

What if I want to add additional rooms or spaces?

We're happy to expand your project as your needs evolve. Additional rooms or expanded project scope may require a revised proposal, updated design fees, and an adjusted timeline based on our current schedule and workload.

What if I have concerns about a design selection?

Open communication is an important part of our design process. If you have questions or concerns about a product, finish, or design recommendation, please let us know as soon as possible. We are committed to working collaboratively to find solutions that align with your vision while providing professional guidance throughout the decision-making process. Final approval of all purchases and installations always rests with you.

How do you handle budgets?

Establishing a realistic investment range at the beginning of the project is essential to achieving the best results. We will develop design recommendations that align with your stated budget whenever possible and will provide pricing information throughout the process. While we make every effort to stay within your budget, final purchasing decisions remain the client's responsibility.

Pricing & Availability

Product pricing, freight charges, availability, and installation costs are subject to change without notice due to market conditions, manufacturer pricing, and vendor policies. Stately House Interiors cannot guarantee pricing or availability until an order has been placed and confirmed by the vendor.

Purchasing

A 100% deposit is required before Stately House Interiors will place orders on behalf of the client. Orders will be processed only after payment has been received. Invoices are delivered electronically and may be paid by approved payment methods, including electronic payment, check, or other accepted forms of payment. Applicable processing fees may apply. Stately House Interiors coordinates purchasing, shipping, receiving, and delivery of items ordered through our firm. Many furnishings and custom products are made specifically for each project and are considered final sale. Any requests for cancellations or returns will be subject to the manufacturer's policies and reviewed individually. When products are specified for direct purchase by the client, the client assumes full responsibility for ordering, payment, shipping, delivery, warranty claims, and any issues related to those purchases.

Returns & Damages

We carefully inspect furnishings whenever possible prior to installation. Should an item arrive damaged or defective, we will work with the manufacturer or vendor to facilitate repairs or replacements in accordance with their policies. Resolution timelines are determined by the vendor and may vary.

Communication

We believe successful projects are built on clear, timely communication. We encourage clients to share questions or concerns throughout the design process so they can be addressed promptly and collaboratively.

We offer flexible interior design services—from focused consultations to full-service transformations—tailored to your home, pace, and budget, so every space feels intentional, inviting, and uniquely yours.
